The WIPO member states approved a groundbreaking new Treaty related to treatment of genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge in patent applications.


This Treaty is the outcome of a Diplomatic Conference which took place in Geneva on 13-24 May 2024, after decades of pre-negotiations.

In accordance with Article 6.7 of the Statutes and Art. 19.5 of the Regulations, the Bureau of AIPPI kindly invites you to the forthcoming General Assembly to be held on 22 October 2024 on the occasion of the Hangzhou Congress.
